HOLA mis amigos!!:)

here are a few stories for ya if ya care to read them:)

Last P day we went to walmart and we invited one of our investigators (Rosa) to come with us! Rosa's baptism is on SATURDAY and I am soooo excited. Anyways, it was her very first time seeing a walmart and going inside. haha I cried in the middle of walmart cuz it reminded me of everyone back at home! miss you all!:)

some words of advice... 

do not eat a lot of jalepenos and then put on the stinging chapstick! your lips will die! haha

This week I gave a talk in sacrament it was my second talk I have given in sacrament since i have been here! I really hope at least one person understood what i was saying!

so.... last week i got this really good idea to make banana pancakes! So me and hna. castillo went to the store under our house and baught bananas. we put them on a plate on top of our microwave. (our microwave is on a table) Then the next day i noticed that 1/4 of one banana was eaten. so, im like that's weird why would my comp. only eat 1/4 of a banana!?! Then 5 minutes later my comp. asks me "Why did you not eat the whole banana?" Im like i thought that was you! then we both look on the ground and see rat poop all over the floor! we looked all over for that rat and we couldn't find it. THEN this morning when we were sleeping we hear this water bottle hit the floor, we hurry and turn on the light and see this HUGE rat run under our door. i wanted to cry! we are yet to catch the rat and we're both terrified!! haha 

My comp. looks at me one day and says "its going to air a lot today so we have to be careful! For the next 5 minutes i figuring out that "air" really means wind! haha

On friday we have a huge missionary ward activity at the church me and my comp. stood outside the church and invited people to come in! in each room the ward had a display! in our room we  made a huge plan of salvation and had treats. we talked to 73 people! 

As missionaries are taught to always invite people to do things, not to go all missionary on you all, but you should go read a talk by jeffery r. holland called "Remember Lot's Wife" it is so good!

hola!!!!

how is everyone doing?? 

this week a member asked us to wear white shirts and black skirts because she wanted us to sing in sacrament! haha turns out she just made it up so the missionaries were matching yesterday! haha The sad thing is this is the least embarrassing thing that has happened all week! haha i will learn espanol one day!

a couple days ago we were teaching a family and after we walked over to a different house and the kids all followed us over there. The house we were at has a lot of untrustable men (I always feel safe, but its just not a good place for kids) anyways the mom walks over to the house and starts yelling at the kids to get home. then all of the sudden she starts chucking rocks AT HER KIDS!!!! then the next day her kid was playing with a macheti and she grabs the knife out of her child's hand and chucks it at a horse! luckily it missed the horse and my comp! ahah craziness!!

One of my investigators cant say my name cuz he had speech problems so he calls me hermana froski! its the best!

well not too much happened this week!! hope all is dong well!!

hola everyone!!

last week i traveled to Guadalajara again so i didnt get to write!!

Last week i went on exchanges with the sister training leader! and an investigator gave me an umbrela! the people here are so nice! she had no idea who i was and she gave me an umbrella for the rain.

haha my water decided not to turn on for three days so me and my comp took bucket showers! I will never be clean here!!:)

me and my companion were sitting waiting for pizza to be done because a member gave us money instead of feeding us, and a drunk man comes over to us and tries to sit on me!!! haha i hurry and jump up! then i started teaching him about the word of wisdom. I gave him a pamphlet about it and he starts kissing the pamphlet!! hahaha me and hna. castillo died of laughter!!!

one of my investigators Vanessa asked me if i wanted to drink her turtle egg! people drink turtle eggs here! ewwwww

Pamela a member, made american food for me! i wanted to cry! it was SOOOO good! she made union rings and hamburgers!!

one of our investgiators hernesto has 13 earrings on one ear! he was wearing a necklace with a huge tooth on it and he comes up to me in a lesson and says 

I know you are really smart and you study a lot so do you know what animal this tooth came from?? hahah i was like umm... i study the bible and the book of mormon!! haha next time i see him ill just tell him it was a tiger or something!! haha oh hernesto.

This man was very sad and he starts talking to us he started telling us that he is an alcholic beacuse is daughter was murdered! it was very sad we taught him about the plan of salvation and how one day he will see his daughter again! 

The police here drive around in big trucks and carry big big big guns! they all wear bullet proof vests and helmets! anyways they all have very serious looks on there face and today one of them smiled and waved to me!! i was sooo happpy!! haha i finally got one of them to smile at me!!

I love the children here soooooo sooooooo soooooo much!! I taught them how to give pinkey promises and they all promised me to go to church with me!

anwyays sorry this email is so long! i love love love love being a missionary! i love the people here!! i love the gospel and i know it is true!!

also, Angelica gave us a hamick!! we are sooo excited to put it up!!

Wow!! How is everyone?!?!

FIRST THINGS FIRST: we had a baptism on Saturday!! Hermano Carlos was my first baptism!!!!

it´s been a crazy week!! Last week I had to travel to Guadalajara to sign my visa! It takes 8 hours to get there so we traveled on Sunday and then signed it on Monday! On the way back they closed the road to the guacamayas so we had to stay over night with the hermanas in Uraoapan!! haha long story short ME AND H. DUBBS WERE REUNITED! 

hahaha this guy asked me to be his boyfriend while i was on my mission! i told him no so then he sang me a song about my eyes! haha 

we were going to teach a lesson to Angelica a recent convert and we were knocking on her door a grown women walks up to me and says ¨a witch lives there¨  I never realized taht I loved the people here until that women said that! I should´ve went and taught her cuz clearly she´s the one that needs Christ in her life! I love hermana Angelica!!

Sometimes I¨m walking in the streets and i don´t know it´s tears or sweat dripping down my face! hahaha sometimes you walk clear across your area to find a house and it takes forever and you finally find it and they´re not home. haha or they say ¨nobody´s home¨haha i may be a missionary but i´m not stupid! but then that one investigator that read just 1 verse in el libro de mormon makes it all worth it!

Our ward mission leader is 95 years old, and he walks faster then me! He is very nice one day I was sick, (probably cuz of the chicken foot in my soup) and he bought me coconut water! 

We have a baptism scheduled for this Saturday! her name is Claudia! She is soooo good she always reads the el libroe de mormon and comes to church and her husband is a recent convert! But she is very very nervous! please pray for her:)

This mission is the hardest thing i´ve ever done but it´s impossible not to be happy here! haha sometimes i´m having a hard time and then the little kids yell ¨HERMANAS¨ and run up to me and give me a hug!! and it makes eveverything all better! i love it here!:)

we got three new baptismal dates this week!! I´m soooo happy about that!! my investigators are doing great and I´m doing great!! life is happy!!!

Hola!!!! how was the fourth of July??

well this week i got an infection in my feet from the mesquitoes so I couldn{t go out for 3 days then for 5 days i could only go to eating appoitments. everyone be thankful for the doctors in USA!! haha it was crazy being in the doctors and not knowing anything that was going on ugh!! it was so frusterating! but i am right back in action!! I know that i was given that trial for a reason!

haha we have three baptism dates for the 19 of July so pray that they will all follow through! haha

This week i found out that GIANT pigs live here in the wilderness!! ya i know terrifying! haha

haha the doctor told me i had to wear socks with my dress and shoes, haha might as well give the people here an actual reason to stare! hahahahahahah

an investigator Jairo hates me cuz i wear my hair on the top of my head!! hah but the feelings are mutual cuz he lied to me and told me he would come to church and didn{t come!! haha just kidding.

my no carbonation streak is over!!! so sad!!!

it is very humbling to be here, the people here have absolutely nothing and everyone is still so happy!! we are teaching a women here and she lives in a little hut. she used wood boards in a circle for walls, and a fire to make food. she doesn{t even have a bed!! she is very happy though! 

well thanks for writing me!! I miss everyone very much!!

first week!

HOLA!!!!!!!!!!!

How is everyone doing??

How this has been the craziest adventure of my life!!! haha after traveling for almost 24 hours from plane delays I finally made it to guadalajara. we got in and got to sleep for 4 hours and then woke up. and President Camarillo gave us our areas and companions and off we went.

My companera is Hermana Castillo. She is from Cihuaha Mexico. She is very very very nice and helps me ATON!! She can speak English but doesn{t use it very often:)

My area is the Guacamayas. It is a very poor area. In the little neighborhoods the kids run around most in underwear and only have a doll or soccor ball. the houses here are the size of my room in Centerville. They all have dirt floors and if they have a roof it is made of a tarp.

There are so so so so so many dogs here. They just run around wild haha at first i was terrified of them. But i have gotten used to them.

There are NO driving rules here whatsoever!!!!! haha haha the people don{t stop for you so we are always running to get out of the way. haha everyone just honks. 

Everyone here stares and me. sometimes the little girls here come and touch me with wide eyes. Everyone else just stares at me!! and the men whistle and yell things. I always ask my companera what they are saying but she never tells me. haha 

my house is one big room. there is a very some toilet and shower then there is a little station to handwash our clothes and dishes. we also just hang our clothes on a giant clothes line that we strung across our house. it is SOOOOOOO HOT here!! everyone is constatly dripping in sweat! haha also i literally have 53 mesquito bites on my legs.!!

This is super hard, and i have no idea what people are saying, but there is no place i would rather be!! Thanks for all the prayers. i love you all

HOLA!!! how is everyone doing??

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!! love you with all my heart dad!:) Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY B-RAIN!!!!

I'm sad to hear the Spurs won it all!:/ I was really hopin LJ king would get another one! 

I cannot believe that i'm leaving for the MTC on MONDAY, it has gone by so fast!! Plus i really like it here! (minus the food) haha 

hmm.. nothing too exciting happend this week! Since school got out the number of missionaries has grown SO much, i'm excited to get outta here and beat the rush though:)

I'm very sad to be leaving my progressing investigators Jose and Hely, I have already grown to love them!! As well as my teachers Hermana Luna and Hermano Martinez! And i'm terrified to leave my hermanas! 

On Tuesday M. Russel Ballard came! he gave an amazing talk!!!!!!!:)

haha H. Dubbs got really excited and was jumping in our apartment and completely ripped her skirt! hahaha so funny!

I'm super busy this week! next time i email i'll be in Mexico!! CRAZY LOCO!!!

anyways, i love all you very much and pray for you everyday!! Pray for me this week i'm gonna need it!:) The church is true I know it with all my heart!!
